William Strain Obituary
February 11, 1939 - December 8, 2025
William Clarence "Bill" Strain, Jr., of Richmond, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2025. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mary Ann, three children, nine grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. A graduate of Auburn University and U.S. Navy veteran, Bill enjoyed a 37-year career with Reynolds Metals and a lifelong passion for sailing. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m., Monday, December 15, at Woody Funeral Home, with a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 16, at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church.

MaryAnn, my deepest sympathies for the passing of Bill. The many years I knew Bill with Reynolds Metals and later as leader of the "Dinosaur Club" luncheons will always keep him in our memory. May God's peace and love be with you and your family during this time of grief. Cidna Unger
