Willie "Bill" Breedlove

Willie "Bill" Breedlove, 84, of Short Pump, passed away at home and started a new journey April 3, 2004. The widower of Helen W. Breedlove, he is survived by three daughters, Patricia P. Crenshaw and her husband, George, Sylvia P. Melton, and Brenda B. Ferrell and her husband, Jerry; eight grandchildren, Lisa Haase, David Crenshaw, Diana Rose, and Pamela, Douglas, and T.L. Melton, Christopher and Jason Ferrell; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Joyce Foster; and many nieces and nephews. He was a World War II Army veteran participating in the D-Day Invasion of Normandy. During his 36-year career with Liphart Steel, he helped construct many buildings throughout the state before retiring. The family will receive friends Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the West Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 11020 West Broad Street, where services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 6. Interment in Westhampton Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Centerville Fire and Rescue or the Goochland Cancer Society.
