Barbara Evelyn Hill, 84, of Hillsboro, passed away Saturday, Jan. 6, 2024, at Legacy of Hillsboro.
She was born on Feb. 3, 1939, in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Martin and Laura (Williams) Stepp.
Barbara worked at Candle-Lite for over 20 years before retiring. She was a member of the Highland County Senior Citizens, and she enjoyed camping, crocheting and all her animals. She loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Barbara is survived by her two sons, David Hill and Timothy Hill, both of Hillsboro; sister, Shirley Mae (James) Kilmer of Lynchburg; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. Hill, in 2020; two sons, Richard Allen Hill and Jeff Hill; grandson, Jeremiah Hill; great-grandson, Jonathan Lapkin; three sisters, Charlene Geneva Swaine, Norma Jean Manuel and Vedus Ellis; and three brothers, Hurbert Stepp, Estel Stepp and Delbert Stepp.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 12, 2024, at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Funeral services will take place at 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 12 following visitation at the funeral home. Pastor Kim Zornes will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Bloom Rose Cemetery.

Aunt Barb, so many memories. When mom & I visited you,& I got to hear you laugh. It was great. And the fun times when you & mom took us kids to the beach. And many more memories. None of us will forget you. Til we see each other again....
