Betty Burke Obituary
Betty L. Burke, 75, of New Vienna, passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2022.
Born in Lynchburg on Aug. 13, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Marjorie Bond Pinkerton, Sr.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Robert F. Burke, in 2010.
A Simon Kenton graduate, Betty was a devoted homemaker. She was a devoted caregiver to those in need and babysat in her home for many years. Cooking for family gatherings and gardening gave her great joy. Betty was a member of Samantha Free Will Baptist Church in Leesburg.
In addition to her parents and husband, Betty was preceded in death by her daughter, Beth Burke; a great-grandson, Briar Scott House; and brothers, Donald Pinkerton and John Pinkerton, Sr.
She is survived by her daughters and their husbands, Bobi and Kevin House of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky and Brenda and Lee Harris of Leesburg. Also left to cherish her memory are grandchildren, Brandon (Sara) Pegan, Brittani House, Bryce (Chasity) House, Kenny (Allyssa) Kelly, Aimee Jo Kelly, Faith Harris and Wyatt Harris; great-grandchildren: Liam, Roman, Serena, Kamryn, Kori, Brynn, Gunner, Nathan, Sawyer, Jameson, Annebelle and Elena June; sisters, Mary (Merle) Pocholec and Joan (Rex) Humphrey; brothers, Joseph Pinkerton, Jr., Roger (Carolyn) Pinkerton, Randy (Mindy) Pinkerton and Ronald (Melissa) Pinkerton; along with a host of nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog and faithful companion, Angel.
Family will receive on Thursday, May 12, 2022, from 5-7 p.m. and again on Friday, May 13, from 12 noon to 1 p.m., when a funeral service will begin at Samantha Free Will Baptist Church, Leesburg. Burial will follow at High Top Cemetery.
The Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, has been entrusted with arrangements.
