Clifton "Clif" J. Purvis, 60, of West Union, died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2015 at the James Cancer Hospital in Columbus.
Mr. Purvis was born April 11, 1954, the son of Herbert and Hulda Faye (Johnson) Purvis in Dayton.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Wilton Ray Purvis.
Mr. Purvis was a member of the Bethlehem Church of Christ and a realtor and auctioneer in Adams County for 25 years.
Survivors include his wife, Anita Purvis of West Union; parents, Herbert and Hulda Faye (Johnson) Purvis of Decatur; two daughters, Nikki Rae Elkins of Chillicothe and Ellen Purvis of Hillsboro; two sons, Michael Purvis of Kentucky and Jason Purvis of Peebles; one stepson, Brian Lewis of Hillsboro; two sisters, Melinda Culbertson of West Union and Marsha Mason and husband Mike of Decatur; a brother, Gregory Purvis and wife Sharon of Leesburg; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 13 at 11 a.m. at the Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home with Tom Claibourne, Bill Christman and Chris Gobine officiating. Burial will follow at the Prospect Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Feb. 12 from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials can be made to the Bethlehem Church of Christ.
