Dora Johnson Lyons, 90, of Greenfield, passed away on Sunday morning, Oct. 16, 2022, at Greenfield Skilled Nursing Facility.
She was born on Thursday, May 31, 1932, in Paris, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Desha and Sallie White Johnson.
She married Charles J. Lyons, who preceded her in death on Nov. 5, 2004.
She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Lyons Mitchell; and her son-in-law, John H. Mitchell of Greenfield. She is also survived by three sisters, Martha Robinson of Chillicothe, Joann Duffy of Las Vegas, Nevada and Eula Hicks of Chillicothe; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Paul John, Virgil Johnson, Margaret Johnson, Betty Johnson, Elizabeth Hicks, Dorothy Chaney and Minnie Hawk.
Dora was a homemaker, a former employee of the American Pad and Textiles Company and retired from Greenfield Research. She enjoyed cooking, family gatherings, reading and playing word games.
A funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family at the Anderson-Ebright Funeral Home, Greenfield, officiated by the Rev. Mike Anderson. Following the service, she will be laid to rest beside her husband, Charles, in the Greenfield Cemetery.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Dr. Jenny Morgan, Hope Gunter and Kayla Newman of Greenfield Skilled Nursing for their care and compassion.

Growing up I spent many a night at Bev's home. Dora was always there to share our high school stories. Bev was Charlie and Dora's pride and joy. Many prayers for Bev during this difficult time.
