Joseph Glenn Ridgeway Jr., 86, of Leesburg, passed away Thursday evening, March 12, 2015 at St. Catherine's Manor of Washington C.H.
He was born June 15, 1928 in Paint Township, the son of the late Joseph and Lucille Dixon Ridgeway.
Mr. Ridgeway worked as a carpenter in the Leesburg area for most of his life. His family has attended the Leesburg Friends Church for over 50 years.
He is survived by two children, Sandy Parsons of Leesburg and Dan (Carol) Ridgeway of Leesburg; two granddaughters, Danica (Mike) Bailey of Leesburg and Tracy Daniels of DeGraff; two grandsons, Wade Hamilton of Leesburg and Greg (Misty) Bobb of Leesburg; nine great-grandchildren, Jennifer Bobb, Haley Bobb, Olivia Bobb, Whitney Bobb, Lane Bailey, Zoey Bailey, Austin Daniels, Dallas Daniels and Tyler Daniels; one sister, Carol (Freddie) Snyder of Leesburg; a sister-in-law, Loretta Ridgeway of Greenfield; a brother-in-law, Joe (Barbra) Lutz of Frankfort; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Ridgeway, on Sept. 2, 2013; a daughter, Susan Ridgeway; one brother, Dane Ridgeway; and two sisters, Norma Jean Davis and Mary Alice Cadwallader.
Graveside services will be held Monday March 16 at 4 p.m. in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Leesburg. Pastor John Fitzgerald will officiate. There will be no visitation.

Sandy, This is Patsy. For some reason I just looked at the obituaries in the newspaper and saw your dad's. He was such a wonderful example of a good husband and father. Something I really appreciated in my youth. Observing his many fine character traits was a blessing to me. He was a really good person.
