Marcelene Lawwell Obituary
Marcelene J. Lawwell, 88, of Greenfield, Ohio, passed away Sunday, Dece. 19, 2021, at the home of her son.
She was born Sept. 28, 1933, in Greenfield, Ohio, the daughter of John Adrian and Maggie (Young) Leaverton.
Marcelene was a graduate of Edward Lee McClain High School, a homemaker and former employee of the U.S. Shoe Factory.
She is survived by one daughter, Shelly Twarek of Greenfield; one son, Todd (Lila) Lawwell of Washington C.H.; seven granddaughters, Shira Cartwright of Greenfield, Angie Lawwell of Washington C.H., Lyndsey Lawwell of Washington C.H., Amber (Mike) Hauck of Washington C.H., Misty (Bobby) Smith of Alabama, Courtney (Shane) Flint of Wilmington and Heather (Josh) Pitstick of South Solon; one grandson, Chase Lawwell; four great-grandsons, Connor Cartwright, Jacob Smith, Ethan Smith and Cameron Pitstick; three great-granddaughters, Paige McCoy, Mikayla Burke and Morgan Pitstick; numerous nieces and nephews; and very close friends, Susie and Doug Wagoner of Hillsboro.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry William Lawwell, on Oct. 18, 1978; two sons, Steven William Lawwell and Durand Eric Lawwell; one daughter, Denise Arlene Lawwell; one brother, David Leaverton; one sister, Betty Bryant; and both parents.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28 at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Dodds officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenfield Cemetery.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
