Norma Jane (Hamilton) Morrow, 90, of Hillsboro, passed away Friday, Aug. 18, 2023, at her home.
She was born on Oct. 27, 1932, in Highland County, the daughter of the late Harley Clayton Hamilton and Della M. (Surber) Hamilton.
Norma held many positions while working at Kroger in Washington Court House for 32 years. She enjoyed her job, co-workers, and all her customers. She earned her associate degree from Southern State Community College and she was very proud of her accomplishment. She was a member of Good News Gathering in Hillsboro, a previous member of the Red Hat Society, a volunteer for the Red Cross for many years, and she was also a volunteer for AmeriCorps in southern Ohio, helping children with their academics.
Norma enjoyed going on boat rides, fishing, gardening, working in her flower beds, bird watching and spending time with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed.
Norma is survived by her significant other, Charles "Charlie" Perrin; five children, Ed Morrow of Columbus, Mike (Karen) Morrow of Sabina, Diane (Vic) Skinner of Clarksburg, Donald Morrow of Greenfield and David (Karen) Morrow of Washington C.H.; seven grandchildren, Miles (Becca) Morrow, Matt (Taryn) Morrow, Tori (Chris) Varney, Joshua Morrow, Braxton Ousley, Nick Morrow and Amy (David) Patterson; four great-grandchildren, Walker Morrow, Vivian Morrow, Dylan Patterson, Rylee Patterson and one on the way, Calum; four siblings, Linda (Michael) Wright of Indianapolis, Paul (Cecelia) Hamilton of Cincinnati, Terry (Brenda) Hamilton of Colorado and June Whaley of Florida; and close family friends, Gary Mossbarger and Peter and Linda Klein.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Max Morrow; eight siblings, Betty Bailey, Joanne Rings, Charles "Ham" Hamilton, James Hamilton, Hubert Hamilton, Donald "Grassy" Hamilton, Patty Narcoss and Donna Helwagen; and the father of her children, Harold Eugene Morrow.
Gathering of family and friends will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2023, at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Celebration of her life will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 29 at the funeral home. Burial will be held in the Bridges Cemetery at Hardins Creek at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross South Central Ohio Chapter, 181 N. Bridge St., Chillicothe, Ohio 45601.
