Thomas Stanley Obituary
Thomas Stanley, age 91, of Hillsboro, Ohio, passed away on Thursday evening, Nov. 20, 2025, at Crestwood Ridge Nursing Home in Hillsboro. He was born on May 14, 1934, in Abingdon, Virginia, the son of the late Thomas Q. and Beatrice Cora (Latham) Stanley.
Thomas lived a simple life, where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving are his daughter, Mary (Jim Miller) Berry of Hillsboro; grandson, Rob (Lisa) Jordan of Hillsboro; five great-grandchildren: Brendon (fiancée Chloe) Ormes, Casey Jordan, Taylor (fiancée Sallie) Lucas, Taylor Jordan (Kayden), and Gaven Lucas; great-great-grandson, Parker Ormes; sister, Dorothy Rhoades of Hillsboro; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Stanley, who passed on Nov. 9, 1989; four brothers; and six sisters.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, 138 E. Main St., Hillsboro, on Saturday, Nov. 29, 2025, from 11 am to 1 pm. Interment will follow in the St. Martin Cemetery, St. Martin, Ohio.
