William Ray Branscomb, 79, passed away at home on March 15, 2025, after a brief illness.
He was born in Berea, Kentucky on Jan. 25, 1946, to Lilly Abner and Bill Green. He was adopted by Jessie and Emmett Branscomb.
He graduated from Paint Valley High School, Class of 1964.
Bill was predeceased by his parents, and sisters Nina LaMar, Annette LaMar, Linda (BJ) Morris and brother David LaMar.
Survived by sisters Sharon Jones, Marilyn Green, brothers Kenny Green, Ronnie Green, Billy (Amber) Green, and Todd (Cindy) Moberly.
On Aug. 19, 1967, he married Paula Knisley, who survives.
Together they had three children, Jeannette (Roger) Crabtree, Billy Bob (Sherry) Branscomb and Matt (Chrissy) Branscomb, grandchildren Samantha (Brett) Kneeskern, Kate (Landry) Faulconer, Josie Crabtree, Colton Branscomb, Kendra Branscomb, Sawyer (Bryahna) Branscomb, Jake (Jordyn) Branscomb, Garrett (Lani) Branscomb and great-grandchildren Brady Kneeskern, Callen Kneeskern, Luke Faulconer, Lane Faulconer, Addy Branscomb, Lyla Branscomb, Buck Branscomb, and Patsy Branscomb and a dear friend, Tim Weaver.
Bill was a lifelong farmer who loved raising cattle. He was on the Pike County Fair Board, Sale Committee, and 4-H Advisor for twenty years. He was Perry Township Trustee President for 15 years.
Bill loved his family, and they all dearly loved him. He will really be missed.
According to his wishes, he will be cremated. There will be no service. The family will get together to scatter his ashes on the farm at a later date. The Smith-Moore-EBright Funeral Home of Bainbridge is serving the family.

My heart is broken. Bill was a great guy..my high school friend and His wife Paula. So sad sorry for you all. Last memory was class reunion last year. God bless you all my hearts with you
