Anna V. Ecker

Anna Ecker Anna V. (Hawk) Ecker, 94, of Powells Valley Road, Halifax, went to the Lord on October 25, 2010. She was born in Cressona, PA, daughter of the late Wilbur H. , and Anna S. (Hoffman) Hawk. Mrs. Ecker moved to eastern PA in 1941. She was employed by the Montgomery County Court House in Norristown and she retired after 22 years of service as the chief telephone operator. She had lived in Powells Valley since 1970 on the family farm. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Enterline. She had auxiliary memberships with the Millersburg American Legion #326 and Halifax VFW #5750; Social member of the Millersburg VFW #5507, and former member of the Millersburg Moose Lodge #59 & W.O.T.M Chap #1083. . She enjoyed Crochet. She was preceded in death by her husband Leonard R. Ecker Sr.; her daughter, Anna Hicks; and a grandson, Edward Elliott. She is survived by her son, Leonard R. Ecker and his wife, Claudia Ann of Winterville, NC; 3 Brothers, Robert Hawk and Stanley Hawk, both of Halifax, and Joseph Hawk, of Hershey; 12 Grandchildren, 26 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Great Grandchild; Many Nieces and Nephews. The family will receive friends Friday, October 29, 2010 from 10-11 AM at Hoover-Boyer Funeral Homes, Inc, Elizabethville with Funeral Services starting at 11 AM.
