Catherine McLaughlin

Catherine Dello Buono McLaughlin, age 64, passed away peacefully at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 with her husband, niece, and nephew at her bedside. Catherine was born in Norristown, PA and was the daughter of the late John Dello Buono and Catherine Saner Dello Buono. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Jerry, brother, Frank, sister, Jean DeSante, and niece and Godchild, Maria Griffing Catherine also leaves behind her aunt, Antonia Barone, many nieces and nephews, great and grand nieces and nephews . Catherine was a graduate of Norristown High School. She earned an A.S. degree from Montgomery County Community College and a B.S. degree in business from Gwynedd Mercy University, She worked for the Commonwealth of PA as an administrator and manager for the Montgomery County Board of Assistance in Norristown for more than thirty years before retiring in 2001. Catherine loved to travel with her husband especially to the world’s greatest art museums and cultural sites. She spent her leisure time working with arts and crafts and looked forward to palm braiding during the Easter season at Holy Savior and St. Francis of Assisi. Friends and relatives are invited to a reception at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 600 Hamilton Street, Norristown, PA, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 3.
