To all the Thomas Family, including Friends and Co-workers,

My most sincere sympathies to all who had the honor of knowing Fran in all his multiple roles. He was truly a man among men with his awesome love of family, his deep commitment to his faith, his strong ethical work standards, his willingness to serve at all turns for the greater good, and his exuberance in friendship. Fran and I only saw each other rarely, but I truly cherished those opportunities. He was loyal above most else and always looked for chances to bring a smile or check-up on an acquaintance.

I am deeply saddened that such a life has been cut so short, when we all know that a greater time would surely have promised more of the best. Let it be our challenge to be better, individually, as a result of our knowing him.

Sincerely,

Fran DeMaris and the Cannon Financial Institute Family

My deepest sympathy to the Thomas family. Fran was a true gentleman as I learned from working with him at Glenmede Trust Company. I met him in 1999 when I joined the firm and he helped set the processes and procedures for our trust company charter. Fran had a unique ability to be the consummate audit professional. As a result of what I have learned from Fran I now serve myself on several community organization audit committees will carry his legacy forward. We Will always remember his wonderfully comforting smile when entered the room.
Fran and I shared many soccer coaching stories over the years and he would light up with a opportunity to talk about how proud he was of his children.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Fran's entire family during this difficult time.

January 7, 2016

My deepest sympathy to the Thomas family. I collaborated with Fran to found the Internal Audit Department of the Glenmede Trust Company and celebrated his appointment as Glenmede's first General Auditor years ago. Not only was his career at Glenmede remarkable, but also his endeavors and leadership in the Auditing profession. The word "peerless" is often inappropriately applied, but in the case of Fran, it is richly deserved. Truly, Fran was without peer and will be sorely missed. Typical of his diligent modus operandi, he developed a strong group of associates in Glenmede's Internal Audit Group well equipped to carry on his illustrious legacy. We cannot know the ways of our Lord, but I can only guess that He took this wonderful man because He had need or a
great Auditor in heaven.
