John Baird Obituary

John 'Jack' Baird of Phoenixville John 'Jack' Baird, 82, husband of Mary Ann (Termine) Baird, of Phoenixville, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2014 in the Seasons Hospice, Phoenixville. Born in Norristown, he was a son of the late Harold and Marjorie (Keys) Baird, and step-son to Evelyn Baird. Mr. Baird was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in the Korean War, and was a member of the VFW Post #7155 in Trappe. While in the Army, he received the Purple Heart, the Bronze Star, and may other medals. He was the owner of the J.D. Michaels Restaurant in the Audubon Village Shopping Center. His most enjoyment in life came while spending time with his family and grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Mr. Baird is survived by one daughter, Debbie A., wife of Andy Foy of Limerick; two sons, John J., husband of Bethanne Baird of Gilbertsville and Michael, husband of Kimberly Baird of Audubon; three sister, Eileen, wife of Bob Tyson of Delaware, Diane, wife of Joe Norton of Collegeville, and Joyce, wife of Bob Rysner of North Carolina; one brother, Ted, husband of Angeline "Corky" Baird of Audubon; sister-in-law Charlotte Hendrickson; nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Marjorie Engro and Vivian Pasquale. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be the Rev. Glenn Butts. Friends will be received at the funeral home Wednesday, May 21, 2014 from 7:00-9:00 PM and on Thursday from 10:00-11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society, 1620 Locust Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103, or to the Alzheimer's Association, 399 Market Street, Suite 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106. Condolences may be offered online by visiting www.PhoenixvilleFuneralHome.com.

Dear Mrs Baird , Debbie,Andy ,Jackie,Beth and Micheal and families .I am so very sorry for your loss Mr Baird was a fun man I loved his wicked sarcasm and dry humor always had a smile for me and I will always remeber him when the gang went to the Penny for fri nights out he always made me smile May your memories get you through these times and my condolences to all May he rest in peace Joanne and family
