William J. Hildebrand

William J. Hildebrand, 62, of Mount Joy, PA, passed away on June 15, 2023. A naturally intelligent man, William was self-taught and driven to never allow perceived limitations to define him. He was a man of few words, extremely humble, loving, and caring to those around him, especially to what he believed to be the most important parts of his life: God, his sons, and his grandchildren. William is survived by his sons, Jeffrey Hildebrand and Tristen Alvarado. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, Faith, Sophia, and Connor Hildebrand and his sisters, Gail Sawyer and Diane Troisi. William was preceded in death by his sister, Valerie Keebler, as well as his father, William Michael Hildebrand, and mother, Elaine Barbara Hildebrand. William served in the United States Air Force from June 1979 to March 1985 and in the United States Navy from April 1985 to July 1986. He proudly served his country as a Radio Operator during his military career. Following his military service, William had a successful career as a Solution Manager, working at Raytheon, CSC, and DXC. He was also a consultant for IT at CSC. William worshipped at LCBC Manheim and found solace in his faith. He enjoyed various hobbies, including piloting, history, Christian activities, traveling, and visiting military bases. Memorial services for William will be held at Washington Crossing National Cemetery on July 28, 2023, at 1:30 PM. A celebration of his life will follow at the Washington Crossing Inn from 2:00 to 5:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in William's memory.
