I remember when in Vallejo Sr.High, Sully directed traffic and guarded the crosswalk with his VPD Harley parked on the side. Later when I joined the VPD in 1963 I met Sully and he taught me to ride the then Harley's we had. I also remember water skiing behind Sully's boat and a lot of other stuff. RIP Sully, you done good.

I first saw 'Sully' when still in Vallejo High in 1959, where I saw him on his motor and directing traffic there. I later went onto the VPD in 1963 and met up with Sully. He taught me how to ride the old 1961 Harley's the VPD had then, and I rode one in traffic patrol for some time.
Sully and I lived near each other and had a good long relationship thru the years on the VPD and long after both our retirements. Sully was a good cop and a great guy. RIP Sully

Sully was our neighbor for greater than 25 years. I always felt looked after with Sully next door. Sully had the most beautiful song bird like whistle, always a bright start to the weekend to hear him whistling in his yard.
Whenever I had a project I was unsure of, he’d give me advice and lend me the tools to do it right. He took loving care of Pauline and had a new sparkle when Glenda entered his life.
So long Sully, it’s been good to know you

Sully was a wonderful person and role model.I was lucky enough to grow up next door to him on San Gorgonio. He was always keeping an eye out for the kids in the neighborhood and willing to chat with us if he was outside. I remember my first time on a jet ski being with Sully out on the strait, leaping over wakes behind the Vallejo ferry.

When my parents were going through their divorce he was very compassionate and helpful with my mother when I wasn’t around.

He was always surrounded with friends and family because he had a strong presence and was just fun to be around. Between the rotation of new motor homes, Buffy his dachshund running down the sidewalk to say hi to the neighborhood kids, holiday Chex mix him and Pauline used to make, I have many great memories of Sully.

We had such a loose rapport that I never even knew his proper first name until now. Rest In Peace Sully, you have left an impression on me and I am a better person today for having known you.

Sully moved in across from my Dad in Flemingtowne in the mid-50's and was an outstanding neighbor, officer, and friend. Sully's words and actions saved my bacon more than once. I'm very sorry for his passing and wish Glenda well as well as children Dennis, Sharon, and Kenny.

Sully was an IKON in Vallejo. I first met Dennis at Vallejo Sr. High as he directed traffic in front of the high school. He was a role model even then as he fit perfectly my idea of a police officer. He was the person who inspired me to become a police officer. When I joined VPD, he continued to be my role model and was always available for advice and guidance. He will never be forgotten and will live the my memories forever. Rest in eternal peace Sully.
