Jane Elizabeth Archer

1943 - 2021

Jane Archer, beloved wife and mother, passed away on June 4, 2021, at home with her family. She valiantly endured a five-year battle with cancer.Jane is survived by her husband of 58 years, Benedict Archer, and her seven children, Nora, Amelia, Esther, Mary, Thaddeus, Andrew, and Eve. Jane is also survived by seven grandchildren and a large extended family shared with her brother Fred Byl.Jane was generous, practical, and creative. She was a superb cook, knowledgeable at growing and preserving fruits and vegetables, and skilled at sewing and painting.She was oriented toward helping others and it was her greatest pleasure to make others happy. She said that she was most proud of being a mother and she was thinking of the needs of her children up to her last days.Jane cared for her husband, her children, extended family members and friends with a practical wisdom and love that will be remembered with gratitude. She will be very missed.A memorial mass will be celebrated at St. Basil the Great Roman Catholic Church in Vallejo on Saturday, June 12 at 11 a.m.
