Norma M. Bentley, 91, born to Christina and Carl S. Murray, June 23, 1917, passed away Thursday, May 14, at a Sacramento rest home.
Born in Eureka, California, she moved to Vallejo when she was 24. She resided there until nine years ago, when she moved to Sacramento to be close to her daughter and son.
She was a past Matron of Easter Star No. 3 and of the Masonic Organizations. She worked many years at Mare Island shipyard and then Levees and for the Vallejo School Department, from which she retired.
Preceded in death by her parents and husband Paul W. Bentley.
She is survived by her daughter, Ann Gulla; son, Wes Bentley; son-in-law, Stephen Gulla; grandchildren, Scott Bentley, Greg Bentley, Janese Palasi, Jeff Kemper, Ron Kemper and Ed Kemper and many great- and great-great-grandchildren; nieces, Joyce Wells, Gay Clifford, and Jan, Sandra and nephew Buster Brizard.
There will be no memorial services, due to her wishes.
Donations may be made to Shriners Childrens Hospital.
