HUNLOCK CREEK — Ada Eloise (Jacoby) Mushal, 88, of Hunlock Creek, went home to be with her Savior on Saturday, June 20, 2015, at the Birchwood Nursing And Rehabilitation Center, Nanticoke, after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease.
Although Ada was locked in her body by this terrible disease, she still maintained her great love of family and the Lord, as well as, her devotion to her children and grandchildren by communicating to them through her loving smile and sweet demeanor. She found great joy in her precious grandchildren and great-grandchild.
Ada served her Lord with gladness as a devoted Sunday School teacher for many years and as a member of her beloved Roaring Brook Baptist Church. Ada's love of God, family, and her country was passed on to her family, as well as, her commitment to serving her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Her devotion to her family was without equal for which they are all deeply grateful.
Ada was born in West Nanticoke on Sept. 22, 1926, and spent her entire life in Hunlock Creek. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward Martin Mushal; parents, Charles and Beatrice Shumway Jacoby, eldest son, Edward Martin Mushal II; youngest son, James Alan Mushal; brother, Dean Jacoby; and sister, Helen Steltz.
She is survived by daughter, Anita Eloise Mushal Zimmerman and son-in-law, Jeff; daughter-in-law, Diane Mushal and her fiance, James; daughter-in-law, Wendy Mushal; precious grandchildren, Christine, Stephen, Megan, Angel, Tisdale; sweet great-grandchild, Lillian; numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 11 to 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek. Funeral services will begin 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home Inc., followed by the church service that will be held at noon in the Roaring Brook Baptist Church, 332 Prichards Road, Hunlock Creek, with Pastor Dan Brubaker, officiating. Interment will be in the Bloomingdale Cemetery.
