PLYMOUTH — Alfred "Al" Perlowski Jr. was a humble, loving, free-spirited man and a beloved father figure. He left this world suddenly on Sept. 14, 2024, at age 65.
Al was born on May 7, 1959, to Florence and Alfred Perlowski, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his three sisters: Theresa Dennis, Barbara Dennis (Paul Noonan), and Bridget Perlowski (Paul Derovage); and a large family of loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Al graduated from Hanover Area High School and Wilkes-Barre VoTech, where he studied residential construction. He worked as a master carpenter for many years.
After high school he moved to the mountains of Pennsylvania to pursue his passion for hunting, fishing, camping, and attending concerts and festivals. He loved spending time in the Adirondack Mountains any chance he could.
Al was a talented artist. He loved playing music on his drums and was an avid follower of The Grateful Dead. He was a gifted painter who frequently combined his love for nature and carpentry to create beautiful works of art.
Al's love for his family was pure. His kindness, compassion, and thoughtfulness will be sorely missed.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Robert Bellarmine Parish, Wilkes-Barre.
Arrangements are entrusted to the S.J. Grontkowski Funeral Home, Plymouth.

Theresa, Bridget and Family,
We were very sad to learn of Al's passing. He was a very talented artist and gardener. I loved seeing his paintings and plants on exhibit at the Luzerne County Fair. Our deepest sympathy goes out to your family. May he rest in peace.
