Ann Kaminski Obituary

March 22, 2011

Ann Kaminski, 87, died Tuesday, March 22, 2011, at home. A lifelong resident of Dupont, she was the wife of the late George Kaminski. Ann graduated from Dupont High School and was an active member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Dupont, and it Women's Society. Her life's work centered around her family, and she cherished the role of wife, mother, and grandmother. Her faith, which sustained her through the loss of her husband and two children, never wavered and serves as a comforting reminder to all who loved her and will miss her. The love and devotion afforded by her can best be exemplified through the tireless and compassionate care of her three children, George, Dianne, and David. The family would like to thank her wonderful, loving caregivers, Midge, Ann, Eva, Bev, and Lois for their kindness and dedication. The family would also like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Martin Moran for his sensitivity and concern. In addition to her husband, Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Catherine and Michael Prebish; her son Michael; her daughter Denise Kaminski Mullen; sisters Catherine Yachna and Mary Ann Hetro; and brother Michael Prebish. Ann is survived by her daughter Diane Bryk, wife of Anthony Bryk, Pittston Township; and sons George Kaminski and wife Elizabeth, Dupont, and David and wife Martina, Pittston Township; daughter-in-law Judy Kaminski, Dupont; son-in-law James Mullen, Mountain Top; sister Christine Cherney, Hazleton; and brother Peter Prebish, New Jersey. Also surviving are her 20 grandchildren, Renee Mesaris; Karen, Terri, Jeffery, Michael, and Kelli Kaminski; Susan Hood; Mary France; Ann Albus; George, John Paul, and James Kaminski; Kate, Elizabeth, and Christopher Mullen; Sean, Christopher, and Anthony Bryk; and David and Nicholas Kaminski; as well as 14 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Kaminski was a loving, kind, and caring woman. I respected and idolized her for her strong faith and beliefs. We shared many laughs over the years and especially shared a love for olives! My buddy "Annie" will forever be in my thoughts and I will miss her tremendously. My thoughts and prayers are with her family at this sorrowful time. With deepest sympathy, Marcia
