Anne Hajala Obituary
Anne L. Hajala, 92, formerly of Exeter, passed away Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025, at United Methodist Homes, Wesley Village Campus, Pittston.
Born in Plains Township, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Timko Berecin.
Anne was a 1951 graduate of Plains High School and a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church (Corpus Christi Parish), Exeter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John, in 2001; a granddaughter, Christine, and daughter-in-law, Erin, both in 2018; and her brothers, Joseph, Michael and Andrew Berecin.
Surviving are her son Joseph, Exeter; daughter, Michele, and her husband, Mark Evans, Winter Park, Fla.; and a brother, George, and his wife, Ann Berecin, Plains Township.
Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 24, at Gubbiotti Funeral Home LLC, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter.
A Mass of Christian Burial will then take place at 11 a.m. in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 224 Memorial St., Exeter.
Interment with Rite of Committal will followin Mount Olivet Roman Catholic Cemetery, Carverton.
