It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of our brother, Anthony D. Boccolini, who passed away on Nov. 13, 2025, in Washington, D.C.
Tony was born to Anthony and Elizabeth Boccolini on Dec. 28, 1942, in Taylor, Pa. He was raised in Duryea and graduated from Duryea High School in 1960. After graduation, Tony served four years in the U.S. Air Force, primarily in Europe. After being discharged, he worked in the Central Systems Division of Chandler Evans. Tony then furthered his education, graduating from Penn State University. After graduation, he worked for the Naval Department as a systems analyst. He retired in 2003. Tony traveled extensively in his job to various military bases. After retirement, he resided in Crestwood Village, Frederick, Md. He enjoyed hiking and spending time with friends and family. He was a member of the Crestwood Village Veterans Club.
Tony is survived by his sisters, Margaret Borget and husband, Paul, and Mary Ann Boyanoski and husband, Leonard; several nieces and nephews, and numerous grand-nieces and nephews, all who will miss their "Uncle Tony."
Per his wishes, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, in Nativity of Our Lord Parish, 127 Stephenson St., Duryea, to be celebrated by the Rev. Michael M. Bryant, pastor. Private interment with his parents will be in Dennison Cemetery, Swoyersville.
Relatives and friends may pay their respects from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass on Tuesday at the church.
