Arlene Shatrowskas, 37, passed away on Feb. 3, 2017, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Kiesinger Funeral Services Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea. Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Arlene was truly one of the kindest people I know. She was so caring and always fun to be around. The last time I saw Arlene we were at The Dolly Parton concert. We didn't know the other was going to be there. She literally walked half way around the place till she found me. I will cherish that memory forever. Heaven has truly gained an angel. Arlene was a friend of mine back in high school along with her sister Lori.. I am very sad to hear of her passing. She was always a delight to be around and a very friendly person to me.. To Lori i'm sure you you know that she will always be a part of your soul and you will carry her memory with you forever.. Heaven has definitely gained an angel....
