Barbara Shinert Obituary
PITTSTON TWP. — Barbara J. Karsko Shinert, 84, of the Glendale area of Pittston Township, died Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2023. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 23, at Queen of Apostles Parish Church, 715 Hawthorne St., Avoca. Visitation from 9 a.m. until time of service. Arrangements are made by Kiesinger Funeral Services Inc. 255 McAlpine St., Duryea.

My sincere condolences to Barbar's family and friends. I worked with her at Topps Chewing Gum in Duryea and the Scranton Candy Plant for many years. Although she was not in any my departments, her dance partner was and I used to run into them "Cutting the rug" at Litsy's and other pubs with live music. They always had a smile and a good time. Peace onto Barbara and we'll meet up with you on the other side!
