I remember well first meeting Brian & his cousins, Bobby & Billy Gibbons, also Jackie Mulhern, playing basketball at the Pittston Y over 60 years ago. As a "west sider", I came to learn that these "east siders" were not only fleet afoot and all-around good athletes, but also really good fellas. Brian was good at everything, but most importantly, he was one swell human being who was always loyal to his friends and loved his family, especially his grandchildren, more than words can describe. I had a chance encounter with him in a doctor´s waiting room just a few months ago and I was gratified for having the chance to reminisce with him and talk about our favorite topic, our grandchildren. RIP dear friend. Tom (Burke)
