BEAR CREEK TWP. — Carol M. Gomelko, 76, of Bear Creek Township, passed away Saturday morning, Oct. 23, 2021, at the home of her son, Christopher.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late William and Doris, (Culp) Quinn.

Carol was a graduate of Wyoming Area H.S. and was employed as a teacher's aide at the Bear Creek Elementary School, and later at the Social Security Administration.

Carol loved to sew, was a member of the Red Hats Association, loved going to Atlantic City and the times she spent with her husband Al down the shore.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Albert G. Gomelko Jr., on June 7, 2021; sisters Mary Ann, Emma "Peggy" and Doris Quinn; and grandson Eric Jasiulewicz on July 4, 2021.

Surviving are her sons, Christopher Gomelko and his wife Dawn, of Larksville, and Scott Gomelko and his wife Abbey, of Trucksville; eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2021, from the Corcoran Funeral Home Inc., 20 S. Main St., Plains, PA 18705. Interment will be held in Sacred Heart Slovak Cemetery, Dorchester Drive, Dallas.

Family and friends may call 9 a.m. Wednesday morning until the time of service at the funeral home.

Memorial Donations if desired may be made in Carol's name to Allied Hospice Meade Street, 200 S. Meade St., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702.

My condolences to Carols family. She was a very dear friend of mine. We enjoyed many good times whether it was on our trips to shows at Lancaster or to the casinos. I will miss her. Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord!
