Charlene Malloy Obituary
Charlene Malloy, 48, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Sunday evening, January 2, 2011, at her residence. Born in Wilkes-Barre, April 17, 1962, she was a daughter of Edna and the late Charles Malloy. She was educated in Wilkes-Barre schools and was a graduate of E.L. Meyers High School, class of 1980. Charlene was employed at RCA Crestwood Industrial Park, Mountain Top, for 16 years and was last employed by U.R.S. in Wilkes-Barre. She was a member of St. Robert Bellarmine Parrish, Wilkes-Barre. Charlene was preceded in death by her grandparents, James and Margaret Malloy. Survivors are her beloved son, Shaun, Wilkes-Barre; her mother, Edna Malloy, Wilkes-Barre; and a sister, Kim Malloy, Hanover Township. Funeral services will be private. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Hanover Township. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Desiderio Funeral Home Inc., 436 S. Mountain Blvd., Mountain Top.

I am so shocked at the sudden loss of a great girl I met through Karen. She was a king & loving, funny person who will be in my thoughts forever! Myself, & my sister Lori & whole family have so many memories of her & will treasure them forever! I was so sorry to hear about my dear old friend Charlene whom I met in 82 & worked together for years at CDP in WB & shared some fun times together. Charlene was indeed a very kind, gentle person who would go out of her way for anyone. My prayers & heartfelt sympathy go out to all of you.

Malloy Family, I met Charlene at RCA/Fairchild many years ago. I was sadden to read of her passing. May your memories of her be special and kept close to your hearts. Charlene was a very nice girl and I always remember her talking about her son. I know she was a very dedicated mom and my heart is out to Shaun.
