I am so sorry to hear of the passing of my dear high school friend, Claire. There are so many wonderful memories to treasure: Being in strutters together, working at Prestige Shoe Factory part time during high school, watching Bandstand and learning and practicing all the latest jitterbug dancing steps. One of the funnier times I can remember while working at Prestige was of Claire jitterbugging to the music while cleaning shoes and our boss, Chester, turning around and catching her. He Just gave one of his wierd smiles and Claire stopped dancing until the next time. After work on paydays a group of us would go to Dukey's for a lobster tail ($1.25) and would dance to the music afterwards. We were given a room in the back to dine and dance. So many memories too numerous to mention. I had hoped to track down Claire prior to our 50th class reunion but it never happened. At least I have a treasure of memories of Claire.
My deepest sympathy to the Roccograndi family. RIP Claire.

It is with a heavy heart that condolences are sent to a wonderful family who saw beyond their daughters' friend, or their sons' babysitter, but treated me as an extended member of the family.
So many happy memories...Claire was truly the epitome of care & kindness, with a welcoming smile to all who entered her home.
