WEST WYOMING — Colleen "Mickey" Pelleschi, 86, of West Wyoming, passed away Friday, Feb. 13, 2015, at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Rockingham, North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Clyde and Irene Kirby Hinson.
She was a graduate of Hannah High School, North Carolina, and Anderson Junior College, and was a member of St Barbara parish at St. Anthony of Padua Church.
She was an incredible cook who enjoyed gardening, attending her grandchildren's sporting events and spending summers at the beach.
Surviving is her husband, Nevio Pelleschi, whom she met in Anderson, South Carolina, while he played for the Anderson Rebels baseball team. After a four-month courtship, they married and spent 60 wonderful years together. She is also survived by three children, Michael and his wife, Sandy, Lehman, Robin and her husband, Richard Levy, League City, Texas, Stephen and his wife, Kathy, Exeter; and three grandchildren, Michael, Katherine and Matthew, whom she adored.
She will be greatly missed by family and all who knew her. Special thanks are given to the staff on the seventh floor at the Post Acute Care Center in the General Hospital.
Relatives and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Gubbiotti Funeral Home, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter. Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 28 Memorial St., Exeter.
