Constance DeCosimo Obituary

Constance DeCosimo, 94, a resident of Mountain Top Senior Care and Rehab Center, passed away on Monday, July 4, 2011 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Progressive Care Unit. Born, November 26, 1916, in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was a daughter of the late Gaetano and Anna (Cassese) Lamanna. Constance was retired from Citibank of New York City and was a member of St. Jude Parish, Mountain Top. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, John Keating in 1963, and Michael DeCosimo in 1976. Constance was survived by her son, James Keating, and his wife, Anastasia, Mountain Top; granddaughters, Michelle Sibel, Collegeville; Ann Marie Diaz, Valley Stream, N.Y.; and Tara Longo, Lindenhurst, N.Y.; great-grandchildren, Brennan and Christian Sibel, Christina Diaz and Isabella Longo; brother, Furio Lamanna; sister, Rose Caliguiri; close cousins, Adele Vecchione, Constance Conrad, Vincent Vecchione and Dr. John Vecchione, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, at the St. Jude Church, Mountain Top. All those wishing to attend the Mass are asked to go directly to the church. Interment will immediately follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Drums. Relatives and friends are invited to call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, at the McCune Funeral Home, 80 S. Mountain Blvd., Mountain Top. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Shrine, 512 W. Saratoga St., Baltimore, MD 21201. View obituaries online at mccunefuneralserviceinc.com.
