David J. Drevenak

WILKES-BARRE — David J. Drevenak passed away unexpectedly on the morning of March 17, 2023.

David was born March 21, 1960. He attended Meyers High School and worked for Oscar Smith and Trion Industries for nearly three decades of his life.

David was always young at heart and required very little to be happy. If he wasn't shooting darts, playing pool or watching a race, you could find him cruising around town, stereo turned up listening to his favorite music. On warm days, he would be sitting on the porch with his mother or playing cornhole in the back yard with his friends and family.

All human imperfections aside, David was a good man and a sweet soul. He was literally willing to give you the shirt from his back. Although he didn't express his love and emotions in the most conventional ways, those closest to him will tell he did, just in his own special way.

David was preceded in death by his father Andrew and older brothers Andrew and Robert. (The good lord has his hands full now.)

He is survived by his Mother Mary, an earthly angel; his sister Cheryl and brothers Joseph and James. He leaves behind a daughter Justine and two granddaughters Estella and Briar. And he was Uncle Dave to many nieces and nephews who surely all have stories to tell of his shenanigans.

A celebration of David's life will be held at the Jendrzejewski Funeral Home, 21 North Meade St., Wilkes-Barre PA. 18702 on Thursday, March 23, from 5 to 7 p.m. You are welcome to share photos and stories of David.
