David B. Solovey, 62 of Mountain Top, passed away Saturday morning, Aug. 9, 2025, in Bloomsburg.
Born Aug. 19, 1962, in Plains Township, he was the son of the late Peter and Eileen (Cardoni) Solovey.
Dave was a graduate of James M. Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre, Class of 1980, and received his certification in welding from Johnson Technical Institute, Scranton. He was employed as a truck driver at Walmart, ACME Markets, and last for PepsiCo. Dave was director of marketing at US Hydrations and also helped in running Solovey Service Station in Plains after the death of his father, Peter. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Local 401.
Dave had a passion for cooking and loved to cook for his family and friends. He enjoyed camping and spending time with Heidi and Lily surrounded by beautiful views of nature and good friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Surviving are his wife of 39 years, Heidi (Hodorowski) Solovey, Mountain Top; sister Charlene Seprish and her husband Edward, Sweet Valley; brother Peter Solovey and his partner Judy Pasetti, Hanover; nieces and nephews; and his Special Little Fur Buddy, Lily.
Funeral services for David will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at Tree of Life Christian Fellowship, 246 E. Main Street, Plymouth, PA 18651, with Pastor John Murray, officiating. Family and friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of service Saturday morning at church. Arrangements entrusted to Corcoran Funeral Home Inc., 20 S. Main St., Plains Township, PA 18705.
