Edward Francis Kobylus, 52, of Woodstock, Ga., passed away in Georgia on Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2021. Born in Scranton, he was the son of Veronica and Edward Kobylus, Avoca. Ed graduated salutatorian from Seton Catholic High School in 1987 and Wilkes University in 1991. He worked as an account executive for Georgia Public Broadcasting.
Ed will be remembered as an avid outdoorsman and for his love of hiking, camping, juggling and traveling. Part of Ed's legacy is his amazing storytelling about the countries he'd traveled to and people he'd met along the way.
Ed is cherished by his parents; his sister Lisa Ostrowski and husband Joseph, Hughestown; brother Robert and wife Kristine, Watkinsville, Ga.; nephews Ted and Michael Ostrowski and Reese Kobylus; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; spouse Jennifer of Ga., and furbabies Parker and Mootsie.
He was preceded in death by grandparents Cecelia and Frank Bartnicki, and Stella and Julius Kobylus, all of Avoca.
Private funeral services were arranged by Adonizio Funeral Home, with interment at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery, Avoca.
