Oh what a wonderful soul. I will hold dear to my heart until we meet again. As Woody scolded me once and I´ll never forget and he was right. "Tommy, you´ll always be a Dallas Borough Boy, once from Dallas Borough, always from Dallas Borough". Where ever life may lead you Dallas Borough and our growing up experience will always be in our hearts. God Bless Woody and the LaBar family...

I remember Woody from high school band. Always a smile and kind words for everyone. When I would come home to visit from Texas I made sure to stop at the shop and say Hi. My parents trusted him to keep their vehicles in top shape for years. Dallas lost a true old soul, rest in peace Woody.

Did you ever try to describe someone or something and couldn´t find the correct words? The easiest way for me to describe what Woody meant to me is to say that he was the bible come to life. His life was a living reflection of Jesus Christ. He did not preach it, he lived it toward everyone and that is his most powerful testimony of his Christianity. I met Woody in 2018. I was a stranger in PA. When I met Woody, he extended the "right hand of fellowship" by inviting me to his church, introducing me to his family, and welcoming me into his home. He not only became my friend; he was my brother in Christ. Woody was a man that did not need to preach to anyone because his life was a living sermon.
Whenever I saw Woody, I saw Jesus in the flesh. That´s how powerful Woody´s faith was. The bible reads; you will recognize a true Christian by their behavior. Not by what they believe, not by what they say; only by what they do. It has been my honor to experience being in the presence of a true Christian whenever I was in the presence of Woody Labar.
Sincerely,
Angela Koutselas

Woody was everyone's friend and I'm grateful to have known him. During the summer of 70-71 I worked at the gas station where boxing matches became as important as repairing vehicles. He managed to ref the matches without participation, smart guy. It was back in the day when the tire bell rang and off you went to pump gas, stopping the repair work midstream, even boss Woody would run out for the nozzle & conversation. After leaving PA for Arizona I would always look-up Woody & Donny (Dallas HS classmates) when returning to PA for short visits. One visit Woody recruited me to work the station while he went hunting for 2 days and for this favor I was always reminded of the good deed, as if he had received gold. Another observation of Woody was on how to get your vehicle fixed fast, it often involved sweet ole ladies and home made food. What a good guy, none finer then Woody LaBar.

My mom Isabelle past 4 years ago, so I´m know she would want to say how important woody was to her and her 2000 reliance car w 12,000 miles. Wood got nothing done when mom would show up at the garage. They would joke and talk about our Lord.....
In the last few years woody would go to my moms house and pick the car up so my mom didn´t have to do it! As she would say now I will be waiting for you at the pearly gates and buy you a coffee. Rest in Heavenly eternity!!!
