Frances Tomko Obituary
Frances A. Tomko, 86, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away peacefully Sunday, Nov. 23, 2025. Born to the late Edward and Frances Kaczmarek Rosolowski, she was a woman whose life was rooted in faith, family, and quiet strength.
Frances (Nana) was married to her beloved husband, Frank J. Tomko, who preceded her in death in 2017. Together, they built a loving home centered on devotion and care for their children, Robert Tomko and his wife, Mary Beth; Jeffrey Tomko and his wife, Elizabeth; and Ann Marie Hockenberry and her husband, Jeffrey; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
A lifelong member of Our Lady of Hope on Park Avenue in Wilkes-Barre, Frances lived her faith through kindness, generosity, and an unwavering commitment to her loved ones. She found her greatest joy in caring for her family, offering a warm meal, a listening ear, and a gentle presence that made everyone feel at home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Frances Kaczmarek Rosolowski; and her brother, Edward Rosoloski; and sister, Dorothy Lushefski.
Frances leaves behind a legacy of love, devotion, and faith that will remain in the hearts of all who knew her. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Jendrzejewski Funeral Home, Wilkes-Barre. As Nana wished, a private funeral service and Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Our Lady of Hope Parish, 40 Park Ave., Wilkes-Barre.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Frances's memory to Our Lady of Hope Parish, 40 Park Ave., Wilkes-Barre, Pa. 18702.
