Francis Walchek Obituary
He was born in Kingston, a son of Bernadette Zelenak Walchek, of Pringle, and the late Francis B. Walchek Sr. He was a 1970 graduate of West Side Area Vocational-Technical School, Pringle. He was employed by Wagner’s Auto Services, Kingston. He was a member of Holy Family Parish, Luzerne.
Tiny enjoyed hunting, doing home improvements and riding his Harley with his friends on weekends.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Renee Marie O’Malley, and her husband, Leonard O’Malley.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are sisters Christine and her husband, Paul Stolarski, West Pittston, and Marita and her husband, Scott Youells, Falls; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. on Monday from the Kopicki Funeral Home, 263 Zerby Avenue, Kingston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Family Parish.
Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Carverton. Friends may call 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations are made in Francis’ name to Holy Family Parish, 574 Bennett Street, Luzerne, PA 18709-0125.
