George Kascsak Obituary

George Andrew Kascsak passed away peacefully Saturday evening, Oct. 18, 2025, while comforted and supported by his family. He was a short-term resident of The Meadows in Dallas.

George, or Butch as he was known by friends and family, was born on Dec. 7, 1944. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Helen Adamczyk Kascsak; nephew, Capt. Nicholas Adam Kascsak; and daughter-in-law, Holli Kascsak.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly Kozokas Kascsak; and two sons, Jeffrey Kascsak and his wife, Nancy; and George Kascsak; grandchildren, Jacob Andrew and Sarah Taylor Kascsak; siblings, John William Kascsak and his wife, Barbara; Ella-Marie; and Andrew Kascsak Jr.; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

George grew up in Luzerne, and was an U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran serving in the 507th Engineering Detachment. He raised his family in Morrisville and Fairless Hills while working for Ford Motor Company in Edison, N.J. After 32 years of employment, he retired and moved back to his hometown in Luzerne.

The funeral will be held Friday at 9:45 a.m. from Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home Ltd, 568 Bennett St., Luzerne. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Parish. Interment will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Lehman. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to service time.
