Gladys C. Chapple, 83, of Shavertown, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2025, at Allied Services Hospice Meade Street, Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Kingston, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Alberta (Erhet) Foss, of Sweet Valley, and graduated from Lehman High School, Class of 1959.
Gladys was a faithful member of the Shavertown United Methodist Church. She loved to entertain and made everyone feel special, always making sure no one left her house hungry.
Surviving are her husband, John L. Chapple Jr.; children: Trudy and Steve McAndrew, Dallas; Lauri and Howie Miller, Allentown; grandchildren: Casey and Corey McAndrew, Pittsburgh; Corey McAndrew, Dallas; Devin and Zane Miller, Allentown.
Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of family, with interment in Maple Grove Cemetery, Pikes Creek.
Memorial donations may be made to Allied Services Hospice Center.
Arrangements are by Harold C. Snowdon Funeral Home Inc., Shavertown.

So sorry for your loss of such a great woman and ole friend...loved her and Jack, when lived in Sweet Valley--Gossert apartment neighbors, we took turns on Saturday nights making deserts while we played cards. Such great memories. RIP MY DEAR FRIEND.
