I attended Wilkes U my first two years of college, 1994-1996. I worked a part time job after classes at the cafeteria dishroom and Glenn was just the nicest guy. I transferred out after the '96 semester to finish up my degree elsewhere but randomly stopped by the campus in 2001 to look around and ran across Glenn in the parking lot. At first he didn't recongnize me but after I told him my name and that we used to work together he lit up and gave me a big hug and a warm hello. I was amazed he remembered me after so many years.
I stopped by the campus today while working nearby and asked about Glenn at the new cafeteria (the old one long since been torn down and replaced) and was sad to hear that he had passed away.
RIP Glenn, you earned it.

I grew up in Hudson and remember Glenn, sometimes we would hang out at the Cotton Ave School playground with the Evans sisters. Glenn was such a nice person, he was always smiling, he always spoke to you and was very kind. Glenn was such a special person and God has given him the most special place in heaven.

My condolences to you and your family. Glenn was one of a kind. As a student at Wilkes is the late'80s, I kept the book for the Men's basketball team, & Glenn was at every game and would greet me with "Suusiee, how are you?" Two years ago I went to the Homecoming football game for my class's 20th reunion. He greeted me the same way!!
He will be missed.

Mrs. Gambini and family,
In the late 1950's to 1969, my sisters and I lived on East Bergh St. in Hudson.
We grew up with Glenn. Summertime at Cotton Ave School playground/pool, Plains H.S. football games, riding the town bus to school.
Many fond memories, especially when we moved a few blocks away. Glenn still kept in touch. He would come to our house and sit for hours talking to our mother.
Glenn will always hold a special place in our hearts.
With love and deepest sympathy,
Rosale,Betty,Judy and Donna (Evans)

I met Glenn Gambini when we both worked in the Wilkes cafeteria some 30 years ago. He quickly became a good friend and role model: a tireless and cheerful worker, patient and gentle, always taking time to ask how others were doing.
I grew amazed at the great number of people that knew and loved him. My fondest memory is the day we walked through his neighborhood and Glenn stopped to talk with first one, then another, then another person along the way.
When I teased that he should run for Mayor because everyone knew him, Glenn--in his easygoing way--grinned broadly, waved his hand at me and told me to stop being so silly! Then he stopped to talk to yet another one of his neighbors!
Thank you for being an important part of my life, Glenn. You will always have a place in my heart. Godspeed my dear friend…

It was a shock when we first found out Glen had passed. We knew him ever so well. He rode frequently on the bus with my husband Pete, and worked with my Father John at Wilkes College when he was in security there. We both shared a heart problem but Glen seemed to care how the other person was doing instead of himself that was Glen.He always had a smile and a hug. His heart was sick but it was a heart that was so filled with love for others. God is getting a special angel who will be bringing smiles to so many up there. When the sun is shinning bright it will be Glenn smiling down on us.We will miss you Glenn Love ya always. Godbless the family of Glenn you are in our prayers.

When I first started to work with Glen he became my friend. He would always greet me with a good morning, or how are you. If someone in my family was sick he would ask everyday how they were until they were doing better.I miss him very much. It feels werd at work not to have him here. I am going to miss telling him to walk not to run when the cafe was busy....missing his laugh...his smile....
All I know is that heaven now has our angel.
My deepest condolences to Glen's family.

We just received the sad news of our friend Glenn's passing, and immediately thought of his smiling face, and his friendly greeting of 'how you doing?'
No matter what the circumstances, Glenn always had a kind word to offer, a warm and friendly demeanor, and a genuine empathy for others that you rarely find today.
Even if we were in a bad mood, a simple visit by the ever smiling Glenn would serve to lift our spirits and make us forget our troubles.
Glenn will be missed by so many.
Our sympathies to his entire family and friends.
