Helen O'Gorman

Helen O'Gorman, 96, formerly of Penn Street, Kingston, died Thursday in ManorCare Health Services, Kingston.

She was born in Kingston, daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Yuskoski Dauksis. Helen and her late husband, James P. O'Gorman, owned and operated Jimmy the Cleaner Dry Cleaning Shop in Kingston for more than 40 years. She was a longtime member of St. Mary's Annunciation Church, until its closing, and a current member of St. Ignatius Church, Kingston.

The family would like to thanks the staff of ManorCare and Traditional Home Health and Hospice for the care given to Helen.

Besides her husband, James, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Ross O'Gorman; brother, Joseph Dauksis; and sisters, Marie Day, Jean Kuczynski and June Tenebaum.

She is survived by her sons, Francis O'Gorman and his wife, Evelyn, of Northumberland, James O'Gorman III and his wife, Maryann, of Kingston, and George O'Gorman, of Nanticoke; grandchildren, James O'Gorman IV, Pringle, and George O'Gorman Jr., Shickshinny; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Eddie Day, of Dallas, George Dauksis, of Stroudsburg, and William Dauksis, of Ponta Inlet, Fla.; nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Kopicki Funeral Home, 263 Zerbey Ave., Kingston, with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Ignatius Church. Interment will be in the St. Mary's Annunciation Cemetery, Pringle.
