HANOVER TWP. — James E. Grilz Jr., of Hanover Township, passed away Sunday, Dec. 29, 2024.
Born May 13, 1949 in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late James E. and Jesse Simpson Grilz.
James was a 1967 graduate of G.A.R. Memorial High School, Wilkes-Barre, and was employed by Von-Crete and Wilkes-Barre Burial Vault.
He was a member of St. Stephen's Church, Wilkes-Barre.
Jim was a die-hard New York Yankees fan. He enjoyed working in his garden and sunflowers.
Surviving is his wife, the former Rose Marie Kowalski, with whom he was married 52 years; and his sister-in-law, Natalie Sack.
Private funeral services were held by the Jendrzejewski Funeral Home, Wilkes-Barre.
