Jamie Krochta Obituary

Jamie Joe Krochta, 30, of Centreville, Va., passed away Saturday, June 12, 2010, while visiting his parents, Joseph and Paulette Parashak Krochta, at Lake Silkworth. Mr. Krochta was born August 29, 1979, in Wilkes-Barre, and graduated from Lake-Lehman High School in 1998, and later attended welding school at Northern Virginia Community College. Jamie enjoyed hunting, fishing and especially quad riding. He was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Joseph. Surviving, besides his parents, are a daughter, Lauren Krause of Nanticoke; brothers, Timothy and his wife, Summer, of Dallas; Joshua and his wife, Jessica, of Wyoming; and Justin and his wife, Leslie, of Pittsburgh, Pa.; maternal grandmother Helen Parashak of Wilkes-Barre; fiancée Erin Preuss of Oakton, Va.; as well as nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at noon Thursday from the Maple Grove United Methodist Church, 5876 Main Road, Pikes Creek, with the Rev. Kenneth Brown officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 11 a.m. to noon prior to the service on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be sent to the Maple Grove United Methodist Church, 5876 Main Road, Hunlock Creek, PA 18621. Funeral arrangements are by the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home Inc., corner of routes 29 & 118, Pikes Creek.
