Jennie Davis Obituary

Jennie I. Davis, age 83, of Benton, formerly of Wilkes-Barre, died Thursday, February 24, 2005, at the Hospice Care of the VNA, Heritage House, Wilkes-Barre.
She was born in Bloomingdale, August 15, 1921, and was the daughter of the late Charles and Cora White Anderson. She resided in Wilkes-Barre most of her life and at Fernwood Manor, Pikes Creek, for the past three years.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harold Robbins and her second husband, William Davis. She was also preceded in death by a brother, John Anderson and sisters, Arilla Hoyt and Miltona Pennington.
She will be sadly missed by a sister, Myrtle Ross Lamoreaux, Bloomingdale; step daughters, Judy Mainwaring, Moosic and Marilyn Christy, Sarasota, FL; four step grandchildren and three step great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
The funeral service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Rev. Stevan E. Atanasoff, pastor of the Town Hill United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in the Bloomingdale Cemetery, Ross Twp. Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. on Monday.
