ORANGEVILLE — Joan A. Daro, 75, of Orangeville, went to be with the Lord Thursday, Feb. 17, 2022, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
She was born Jan. 3, 1947, in Long Island, N.Y., a daughter of the late Edward and Florence (Meyer) Fleichhauer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Daro, who passed on July 21, 2004, and two sisters, Ruth Guido and Doris Malecki.
Joan attended schools in Long Island. She especially loved horses and dogs and was a dog groomer for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
Joan is survived by her two daughters, Kelly Doninetz, of Drums, and Lori Rankin, with whom she lived; four grandchildren, Carrie Pierontoni, Cody Eshleman, Brandon Rankin and Lona Doninetz; nine great-grandchildren; and brother Richard Fleichhauer and his wife, Patricia, of Long Island.

Kelly and Lori, I am so sorry for your loss. You may not remember me, but I was your babysitter when we all lived in Bloomingdale, and your mom had a horse named Tatersol (Tata). Your mom was very kind to me
