Joan Marie Marchetti, 89, of the Fox Hill section of Plains Township, passed away Thursday, Sept. 25, 2025, at her home. She was born Nov. 15, 1935, in Plains, a daughter of the late Paul and Stella Jakuboski.
She was a graduate of Plains High School and was formerly employed by Offset Paperback and Putnum Publishing. Joan enjoyed cooking and going to the casino. She was an active member of Ss. Peter and Paul Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gino D. Marchetti; son, Bruce Marchetti; and siblings, Daniel, Edward, Edmund, Leo, Theresa, Stacia, Geraldine, Martha and Cassie.
Surviving are her daughter, Nancy Rock, and her husband, Tom; niece, Michelle Marchetti; and many other nieces and nephews. Also surviving are her cats, Pumpkin and Honey Bear, and grand-dogs, Sierra and Bella.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in Bernadine Hall of Ss. Peter and Paul Church, Bank Street, Plains Township. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call from 9 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday. Condolences can be sent at eblakecollins.com.
