ELIZABETHTOWN — Joan B. Ravin, 86, of Elizabethtown, formerly of West Nanticoke, died peacefully at home on Monday, July 9, 2018.
Born April 3, 1932, she was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Estock) Cooper, of Larksville, and was preceded in death by her late husband of 50 years, John L. Ravin, DDS.
She is survived by her two daughters, Lynn Ravin, of Elizabethtown, and Judy Wysocki (Tom), of Marlton, N.J.; her grandchildren, Jonathan (Kate) Hicks, of Elizabethtown, Jennifer (Alex) Sheng, of Belmont, Mass., Peter Wysocki, of Marlton, N.J., and Susan Wysocki, of Tampa, Fla.; and two great-grandchildren, John Paul Hicks and David Hicks.
Her family remembers Joan as a very caring and generous person who always put others before herself. In her spare time, Joan could often be found on the golf course with her husband, John, or volunteering at Pope John Paul II school. She and her husband enjoyed traveling together and spending winters in Florida.
A funeral Mass with private interment will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 13, 2018, in St. Faustina Parish, 520 S. Market St., Nanticoke. The family will receive guests at a visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday morning in the church. There is no public viewing.
