WILKES-BARRE — John Kuczma, 65, a lifelong resident of Wilkes-Barre, passed into eternal life on Jan. 24, 2015, at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Wilkes-Barre, a son of the late Valeria Sunday Kuczma and John Kuczma, who was also his best friend. A graduate of Coughlin High School, he attended King's College and was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. Prior to retirement, he was employed at InterMetro Industries. He served as president of their union and also assisted at the credit union.
Jackie, as he was called, had many hobbies and interests. He loved passing time working on his computer, talking sports and taking long drives in his Mustang. Most of all, he loved spending time with and spoiling his best friend and loyal pup, Patches. Although Jackie had no children of his own, he was an avid supporter of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Surviving are his sister, Patricia Rodzinak and her husband, Robert; nephew, Robert Rodzinak and his wife, Christina; nieces, Amie Rodzinak, Karen Coyne and her husband, Kevin; great-nieces, Alyssa, Shawna, Kayla, Gracie, Mollie; great-nephew, Kaden.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Andre Bessette Parish, St. Stanislaus Koskta worship site, 668 N. Main St., Wilkes-Barre. The family will receive friends at the church from 9 to 10:30 a.m.
