John W. Miscavage, 77, of West Wyoming, passed away Sunday, Nov. 9, 2025, at Maple Ridge Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Kingston.
Born in Kingston on June 24, 1948, John was the son of the late Floyd and Stella Wozniak Miscavage.
He was a graduate of West Wyoming High School, Class of 1966.
John held various jobs throughout the area, including positions at Pagnotti Enterprises, Fortune Fabrics, Martz Trailways, and the Mark II Restaurant. His final place of employment was at the Colonial Pancake House in Luzerne.
One of John's passions was music, and in his younger years, he found immense joy and community singing with the church choir. He also dedicated his time to serving others as a volunteer for the West Wyoming Ambulance Association.
Surviving are his sister, Corrine Mattie, and her husband, Joseph, Harveys Lake; his nephew, Floyd Mattie, and his wife, Nancy; his niece, Samantha Mattie Major, and her husband, Nick; his great-nephew, Wayne Mattie; and great-niece, Stella Mattie.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday from Bednarski Funeral Home, 168 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 116 Hughes St., Swoyersville, with the Rev. John J. Chmil officiating.
Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Swoyersville.
Family and friends are invited to attend John's viewing from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
